All Canfield aluminum Cylinder
Heads are cast from the finest A356 virgin billet, and are heat treated to a T6
condition. Canfield Heads are machined on the latest precision, computer controlled
machining centers
Canfield's standard
24.5-degree 310 c.c head, in testing, has proven it's 800 plus horsepower
capable. In dyno testing in excess of 800 h.p. was obtained on a
468 cubic inch engine. The 310 c.c. runner volume enabling engine
builders to build a configuration with a wide power band. If you
are building a combination requiring more cross section such as
a high winding or large displacement big block, consider our 350
c.c.( # 24.5-990 ) intake runner configuration.
Head assemblies
from Canfield feature premium quality components. Flat tappet assemblies
use American made 1.55 or 1.625 diameter dual springs. All locks
and retainers are 10-degree heat treated chrome-moly steel. Race
quality stainless steel valves or optional titanium is used exclusively.
Race proven
valve jobs are done on the latest computerized seat and guide machines.
Combustion
chambers are standard at 119 c.c. in
as cast or our optional CNC milled 113, 119 or 125
c.c. chambered heads.
